Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 40 minutes Serve : 4 to 5Heat 1 tsp of oil. Now fry small onion chopped, garlic and ginger till brown. Let it cool down then make a fine paste. Heat oil in a pan. Slightly fry the potatoes. Keep aside. Now add bay leaves in the oil. Now add sliced onion. Fry till golden. Now add the fried masala paste and add all the dry spices (except garam masala) and tomato puree. Now fry the masala again till oil comes out from the masala. Now add the fried potatoes. Mix well with the masala. Now add 1 1/2 cup warm water. Now let it come to boil. Cook in high flame till the gravy gets bit thicker. Add ghee and garam masala powder. Mix well. Put off the flame. In Bengali we serve this with luchi (fried Indian bread) but you can try it with roti (Indian flat bread) or poori and paratha as a delicious side dish anytime.
